Skincair 3D medical fitted sheet

Skincair is a multifunctional 3D medical fitted sheet that improves the quality of care due to its unique properties and increases and significantly eases the nursing of indicated residents in care facilities. Skincair gives the resident has much more freedom of movement in bed and is highly  ventilating. Due to these unique properties it can be used in daily care and nursing, it responds directly to the needs to work differently and more efficiently in care environments.

The number of vulnerable and care residents in nursing homes and institutions for the disabled is increasing sharply and there is a great lack of care employees. In addition, the demands on the quality of care are increasing, partly due to the constantly increasing care burden. Skincair relieves care and keeps residents more mobile in bed.

Core features of the Skincair 3D medical fitted sheet:

Skincair :

  • provides low friction between resident and the medical fitted sheet
  • is breathable and ventilating
  • is elastic and follows the body contour

Skincair replaces the cotton sheet, the transfer sheet on the bed and other devices on the bed and is used to increase self-reliance and help prevent pressure ulcers. Skincair is very elastic, conforms itself to the contours of the body and does not cause pressure points and contributes to an increase in sleeping comfort.

The smooth top layer with the unique sliding pattern is very soft and always wrinkle-free friction has a built-in transfer function and can remain under the resident. Perspiration droplets and vapour of the resident is quickly removed, so that the top layer remains dry. The intermediate layer consists90% from air and provides a mechanical airing  of the skin and thus controls the microclimate. Research and practical results show that this results in significant skin condition improvement is observed.

The resulting total effect is in many cases that self-reliance increases and care dependence decreases, and contributes largely to the prevention of pressure ulcers and thereby reduction of the use of static and dynamic air mattresses. Skincair’s wrinkle-free function provides much faster making and tidying the than a cotton one bed sheet. Washing and drying takes place according to hygienic instructions.

With these properties, Skincair delivers a major contribution to better skin condition, more mobility in the bed, increase of comfort, ease up care tasks and load and reduce costs.

Curious about how Skincair works?
In this video we like to show you how.

  • Mobility of many residents is greatly increased. Less help is needed at bedsid
  • Changing residents requires less care time and care load
  • Dressing and undressing is much faster because the sheet is smooth and stays put
  • Much less physical strain on the healthcare worker
